Infrastrucutre Development

Saunvardhan Pratishthan was established more than 13 years back with the intention of helping under resourced schools in the remote rural areas of Konkan region in Maharashtra. Saunvardhan was success ful in helping more than 25 schools and approximately 25000 students in its long journey of 14 years. A major school renovation project was funded by Saunvardhan in Ratnagiri district. Digital classrooms, science labs, water purifiers, bore wells were provided to many schools.

Saunvardhan’s main goal was to set up a vocational school in the remote rural areas with the thought that students in neighbouring villages who do not excel academically can be trained in vocational courses. With that goal, Saunvardhan submitted a proposal to GIC for CSR funds. After site visits and understanding the needs of the villagers, GIC agreed to fund the project. The focus of the project was to build two halls to provide vocational training to students from the entire vengurla taluka apart from the students of the math School.

With the generous donation from GIC, it was decided to construct a building equipped with 2 multi purpose halls, 2 classrooms and a library in the premises of R. D. Khanolkar High School, Math in Sindhudurg District. GIC also agreed to provide funds for the renovation of the existing school building.

Following are pictures that show the progress of the project being carried out in Math, Sindhudurg.
