Why BMC Schools?

Poor children do not have access to basic amenities. The Govt. is trying its best to provide basic education through municipal schools and Anganwadis. However, these efforts are insufficient since, the numbers of children who need such helps are innumerable. Municipal schools do their best about teaching but they do not have the infrastructure to provide some extracurricular activities.

Saunvardhan Pratishthan already has adapted a Municipal school at Mahim. Saunvardhan Pratishthan helps these children not only with basic education but also all around personality development by providing a specific skills sets. It includes Study skills, Communication skills, Languages and different form of Arts etc.

This helps the children to understand their aptitude and develop a positive attitude towards society and life.

Why Community?

Due to holidays & other domestic environment / assignments hampers the attendance at the school which affects required development for a child. We also try to educate their parents the basic needs of their child. This is possible only by the virtue of community involvement. The parents, especially mothers are important component of a society. We aim to look after the welfare of their children making them self reliant.

Through children we reach to their mother and so the community. We already are working in community at Mahul.

Staff?

At present we have total staff of 15 people out of which 10 are teachers, giving their best in two schools. Two students pursuing their graduation help us in handling the administration office.
